Robbie Lynn Lyons, 46, of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, January 31, 2019, following a lengthy illness. A native of Washington County, Tenn., he was the son of Wanda Sue Brumitt Lyons, Johnson City, and the late Gary Lynn Lyons.
Robbie was self-employed in auto body and paint repair and it was a big part of his life. He was a very good son, husband and Dad.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, Scott Lyons; and an uncle, Terry Lyons.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother include his wife of 26 years, Kristina Vest Lyons, of the home; two daughters, Jordan Baker and husband Logan, Bristol, Tenn., and Britney Lyons; two grandchildren, Jaxon Baker and Amelia Baker; and a special niece and nephew, Autumn and Noah, Johnson City. Other nieces and nephews and special friends, Jeff Price, Todd Price and Bobby Arnold, also survive.
A service to honor the life of Robbie Lynn Lyons will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, February 3, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Ken Jefferies officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Private disposition will be held at a later date.
