Jessie Glenn Arnett

Jessie Glenn Arnett, 72, a loving husband, father and grandfather, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Friday, March 8, 2019, at his residence. A native of Athens, Tenn., he was the son of the late Joseph Andrew Arnett and Laura Carter Arnett.
Mr. Arnett was retired from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. He was a U.S. Veteran of the National Guard. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Masons, the Shriners, the Watauga Lake Sailing Club and the Johnson City Power Squadron. He was an avid sailor and loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Arnett.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Carol Ann Stephens Arnett, of the home; two sons, Travis Arnett and wife Melody, Johnson City, Tenn., and Rick Arnett and wife Brandy, Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Amber Arnett, Elizabethton, Tenn.; two grandsons, River Arnett and Dylan McKeehan; and one sister, Eglenda Johnson of Wisconsin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
According to his wishes he did not want to have a public service. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
