Linda Swails Glidden

Linda Swails Glidden, 69, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March, 9, 2019, at her residence. She was born in Jesup, Ga., to the late Leonard and Rosa Spell Swails. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Jean Smith, and several brothers and sisters.
Linda was a member of The Pentecostals of Johnson City. She loved to attend church services and was proud to be a prayer warrior. She enjoyed knitting and doing needlepoint.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Violet Glidden-Conwell, and her husband William, of Elizabethton, and Virginia Glidden-Braswell, and her husband Jimmy, of Rocky Mount, N.C.; four grandchildren, Calin Braswell, Zackary Conwell, Adrianne Smith and Kennedee Smith; four brothers and two sisters; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service to honor the life of Linda Swails Glidden at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at The Pentecostals of Johnson City, 2510 East Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, Tenn., with Pastor Joshua Hoss officiating. Music will be under the direction of the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her church for the loving care given to Linda during her illness.
