On March 12 Girl Scouts Day is celebrated. This year there was nothing good to celebrate. “Shocking new evidence reveals that Girl Scouts USA is a pro-abortion organization that supports many late term abortion groups,” says www.nowtheendbegins.com and www.liveaction.org/news.
In June of 2018, the Girl Scouts tweeted a thank you to Teen Vogue regarding a Teen Vogue Summit in which they participated. This summit has featured “reproductive justice” as one of its topics. “We had a blast,” they said. “Talk about feeling empower.” Along with the tweet was a video which included the pro-abortion mantra, “my body, my choice, my rights.” The Girl Scouts leadership falsely believes and teaches girls that abortion is a right, rather than a gross attack on human life and human rights. Girl Scouts have become increasingly liberal and secular and they hold up as a role model Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger and contribute over a million dollars every year to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGS) an organization tied to International Planned Parenthood. In 2015 Girl Scouts allowed boys who identify as girls to enroll as members. After they allowed boys, Christian parents began sending their girls to the American Heritage Girl programs because their program is based on Christian values. American Christian families can’t trust the Boy Scouts (BSA) and Girl Scouts to teach their sons and daughters about service and leadership anymore because liberals have taken control of all scouts. Evil abortion advocates use every opportunity to corrupt the minds of our children. A better solution would have been for liberals and homosexuals to create their own scouting group that fits their liberal agenda instead of forcing their beliefs and agenda on all young children. Liberals want to do away with gender and redefine society. Churches and Christians now can’t be a part of the scouts. The Bible in Ephesians 5 says, “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” John Stemberger, chairman of the Christian youth program Trail Life USA, provides a Christian alternative to scouting. Stemberger said the churches that stand for biblical values will find it increasingly difficult to operate in the structure of the Boy Scouts since many activities are cooperative in nature. “Camporees, jamborees, and high adventure programs such as Philmont all expose scouts to leaders from outside one’s chartered (church) unit,” Stemberger said. Churches that charter Scout units can no longer be confident other leaders will share their values and behavioral standards. Stemberger said, “The BSA is teaching our kids that when your values become unpopular, just change them.” Boy Scouts used to be required to be a boy with honor and “morally straight.” Boy Scouts are now taught by liberals it’s OK to “be you” whatever you might feel you are.
The majority of churches in Carter County are Baptist. The Southern Baptist Convention, the nation’s largest protestant denomination, passed a proclamation in 2014 that encourages its churches to look for alternatives to BSA. Baptist churches have a RA (boys) and GA (girls) program or AWANA program. I recommend the AWANA program. It’s a non-denomination Christian program with scouting-type activities for both boys and girls. See www.awana.org. In the summer parents are encouraged to send their children to Vacation Bible School (VBS) and to a Christian Camp. The BSA has lost membership since they changed in 2013 to allow for the first time homosexual boys to participate in scouting. In 2015 BSA changed to allow homosexual leaders for the first time. In January 2017 the BSA began accepting transgender members. In October 2017 the BSA announced it will allow girls to join the BSA. The BSA is doomed. Good-bye BSA. To put it in camping terms the BSA is cooked or done put a fork in it. Pray for kids growing up in a Godless liberal America. Pray for parents to wake up and do their job and not let liberals do it for them. The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have now lost their moral compass just like America has. We can be thankful for over a century the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have been great American institutions and had a great run, just as America has had a great run!
