One day removed from a dandy nine-inning, 1-0 win to start the 2019 high school baseball season, the Elizabethton Cyclones made it two in a row with a 7-2 victory over Sullivan East in Bluff City.

Matthew Dailey, who won the game in walk-off fashion with a run-scoring single, took the hill and earned the win pitching five innings allowing two runs and striking out six East batters.

Ashton Williams came in relief to finish off the game for the Cyclones.

Cooper Tipton set the pace for the Cyclones by slapping a home run in the top of the first. Karson Dillard had a solid day at the plate for Elizabethton by going 2-for-3.  Dailey, Bryson Rollins, Jaden Anderson, and Nico Ashley each added a base knock in the contest.

The Cyclones (2-0, 2-0) play a double dip in Knoxville this weekend at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, home of the University of Tennessee Volunteers.
