Rosa Mae Jung

Rosa Mae Jung, 91, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2019, from her residence. Rosa was born in Banner Elk, N.C., to the late Dolphus and Lena Holden Harmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Jung; a son, Joseph Jung; three brothers, Roy Harmon, J.R. Harmon and Leroy Dolphus; and a sister, Sada Townsend.
Rosa was a loving mother and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, canning and country music.
Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters, Janice Copeland and husband Mike of Riverside, Calif., and Theresa Watkins and husband Randy of Elizabethton, Tenn.; four sons, John Jung, of the home, Thomas Jung of Elizabethton, James Jung, also of Elizabethton, and Kennis Jung of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren, Michael Copeland of Georgia, Tracy Reed of Oregon, Tara Christiansen of North Carolina, Tiffany Watkins of Elizabethton, Brandon Jung of Johnson City, Kelsey Jung, also of Johnson City, and Ray Jung of Columbia, Tenn. Several great-grandchildren also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Rosa Mae Jung will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Father Dennis Kress officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, or at the residence at other times. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family, friends and church members. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Watkins, Brandon Jung and Dolan Smith. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice, especially Becca and Debbie.
