The Elizabethton Lady Cyclones ran into a hard-hitting Volunteer Lady Falcon softball team on Monday and came out on the short end of the stick dropping a 14-4 contest to their visitors from Church Hill.

Elizabethton fell behind 3-0 early and every time the Lady Cyclones made a run at Volunteer, the Lady Falcons had an answer.

Drawing within 5-4 in the bottom of the third inning, the Lady Falcons quickly responded back with two more runs in the top of the fourth inning to extend the advantage to 7-4 and never looked back.
