Wesley A. Heath

Wesley A. Heath, 67, of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center following an extended illness.
A native of Oklahoma City, Okla., he was a son of the late Wesley B. and Reba Jo Cosby Heath. He had lived in Carter County for 20 years.
Wesley served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired truck driver. Wesley was a member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church, and also a member of the DAV Chapter in Johnson City. He loved his kids and grandkids, loved spending time taking trips or just watching movies with the grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Debbie Kanode Heath; his children, Leslie Taylor and husband Clay and Wesley C. Heath; four grandchildren, Michael, Angel, Alexis and Claryssa; and two sisters, Linda Files and Joanie Dyer.
The graveside service for Wesley A. Heath will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 22, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery (new section) with the Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating. Active pallbearers will be Wesley Heath, Michael Heath, Robert Kanode and Clay Taylor. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, members of the DAV and her church family, Lynn Valley Baptist Church. Boone Dam VFW Post 4933 will conduct Military Honors.
