The warm, spring weather brings around a time that all young athletes can’t wait to start and that is T-Ball and Coach Pitch baseball sponsored by the Elizabethton/Carter County Boys and Girls Club.
Teams have been practicing and are now a week into their seasons as a host of games were played out Tuesday at the Black Bottom fields.
It’s not about who wins and who loses at this level at play. For these kids and parents, the main focus is learning a little about playing ball and a whole lot about having fun, meeting new friends, and having someone to cheer you on whether you strike out or get a hit.
The score doesn’t even matter as one is not kept. Again, it’s all about having fun.
