Raiders spoil Senior Night for Warriors in 7-0 defeat

The Happy Valley Warriors were looking to send their seniors out in grand fashion but the Sullivan North Raiders blew everything up in Happy Valley’s face as the Raiders sent the Warriors to a 7-0 defeat on Senior Night.

North came out of the gate hot scoring three runs in the first and a solo run in the second to take a 4-0 lead and tacked on three more in the fifth and sixth inning to collect the win.

Happy Valley could only muster three hits in the game as Jacob Absher had a 2-for-3 outing to lead the Warriors.

Eli Reece picked up the only other hit that the Warriors would get off the Raiders pitching.

Reece was also the pitcher of record for Happy Valley going 4 1/3 of an inning allowing six runs to the Raiders with nine strikeouts and seven base on balls.

Bryce Carter covered the last 2 2/3 of an inning from the hill allowing one run and four strikeouts.

Wilhoit worked the full seven innings for North to pick up the shutout victory.
