First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will preach at the morning worship service Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. He will continue his series “Power In His Name.”
The service begins at 9:45 a.m. David Mills will serve as worship leader and John Smith will have the communion meditation. Bea Streeter will read the morning scripture and David and Cara Hutton will provide special music.
The Sunday evening service will begin at 6 o’clock.
Wednesday Bible study will begin at 6 p.m.

Poplar Grove
Vacation Bible School will be held June 2-5 at Poplar Grove Baptist Church, located on Highway 91, Stoney Creek.
The theme of the Bible School is “Ocean Commotion — Dive Into God’s Word.”
Classes, which will be available for children ages three through grade 12, will be held each evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
All children and young people are invited.

Church of Jesus
The Heavenly Reflections from Kingsport will sing at the Church of Jesus at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The church is located at 809 W. Main St., Johnson City.

East Side Christian
Revival will be held May 19-22 with services nightly at 7 p.m.
Guest speakers will include area ministers. Also, special music will be presented at each service.
A meal of soup and sandwiches will be served following the service on May 22.
Roan Street Free Will
Jeff Milsaps will present special singing Sunday at 6 p.m. at Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church.
The church is located at 820 N. Roan St. (in Blackbottom). The Rev. Tim Gouge is pastor.

Lynn Valley Baptist
Lynn Valley Baptist Church, 1367 Broad St., Elizabethton, will begin accepting donations for its clothes closet each Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clothes closet is held the first Saturday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church annex. Clothing is available to all ages for men, women and children.

Unaka Baptist
An all-you-can-eat fish fry will be held this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Unaka Baptist Church. The menu will include fish, chicken tenders, baked potatoes, coleslaw, and dessert.
The cost is $10.
Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the food and fellowship.
Cove Creek
Sacred Journey will present special singing Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at Cove Creek Community Church.

Rock Springs
A revival will be held at Rock Springs Baptist Church May 19-22 with Stevie Guinn as evangelist. Guinn is pastor of Fish Springs Baptist Church.
The service begins at 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday. There will be special singing each night.
Rock Springs is located at Highway 167 Butler, where Doe and Roan Creeks empty into Watauga Lake.

First Presbyterian
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will preach Sunday at the morning service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon is entitled “Sin Without Shame” and is based on the scripture, Gen. 2: 25 – 3:24.
The service will begin at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour is at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon; Exercise Class, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and Yoga, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Morgan Chapel
Called Out will present special music Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at Morgan Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1782 Ripshin Mountain Road, Roan Mountain.
