Randall C. “Hank” Williams

Randall C. “Hank” Williams, 57, of Columbia, Miss., passed away following a long illness on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
Hank lived his youth in Elizabethton, Tenn., and was a 1980 graduate of Elizabethton High School where he proudly played trombone in the Cyclone Band. He attended Tennessee Technical University until his sense of patriotism and love for his country lead him to serve in the U.S. Navy. He had worked in the petrol-chemical industry for over 30 years and was known as a mentor to his co-workers.
Hank had been a resident of Livingston, La., for 14 years prior to moving to Columbia last year. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan, he believed in fairness, was extremely generous and deeply loved his family and friends. Hank will be remembered for his unusual sense of humor and his delight in making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Wayne Williams.
Hank is survived by his wife, Jon Ellen Anderson; five children, Joe Deel, Randi Williams, Cassie Williams, Brandon Herkes and Shawn Herkes; his mother, Linda Pike Williams; a sister, Jennifer Sturgill and husband, Mark; a brother, Ted Williams; a grandson, Cason Williams; and was the “favorite uncle” to numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia from 10 until 11 a.m., Saturday, June 1, and the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
