Dorothy Hazel Bundza passed away May 29, 2019, at Hillview Nursing Home under care of Hospice. She was born Feb. 6, 1916 in Plainville, Mass. She was 103 years old. Her husband, parents and four sisters preceded her in death. She married Anthony George Bundza July 15, 1957. Their only child, Thomas Bundza, survives.
Dorothy was very active most of her life and had several careers, originally living in North Carolina (summer) and Florida (winter) eventually moving to Roan Mountain, Tenn., then to Elizabethton close to her caretaker of 10 years.
She loved to travel, paint and enjoyed her flowers and relating all her life’s accomplishments and journeys. She was a remarkable lady and loved by everyone and always wanted to help others.
No funeral arrangements. She requested to be donated for research. Please make donations in memory of her to Avalon Hospice.
