Judy A. Woods

Judy A. Woods, 78, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Judy was born in Washtenaw, Mich., to the late Leon C. Brewer and Belle Belonga Brewer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Al Street; a son, James Allen Street; three brothers, Gary Brewer, Ronald Brewer and Richard Brewer; and four sisters, Pam Brewer, Donna Hardesty, Beverly Reimold and Mary Ellen Brewer.
Judy was a loved wife who enjoyed traveling, cooking out, laughing and having a good time with her family and friends. She was a joy to all she met and will be dearly missed by all those that knew her. Judy retired from the Johnson City Medical Center as a PCP, where she had worked in the Pediatric and PI departments and also retired from the Ford Company after 10 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 18 years, Lustus Woods Jr., of the home; two children, Timothy John Street and wife Carol of Elizabethton and Stacy Renee Lewis of Elizabethton; nine grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Leslie Shay Woods of Johnson City; one sister, Vickie Jedle; two brothers, Larry Brewer and wife Sharon of Clinton, Mich., and Michael Brewer and wife Doreen of Saline, Mich.; and special friends, Joyce Marx and husband Mike of Maryville, W.C. Rasnick and wife Diane, John Rouse and wife Janet, Judy Thompson, Ethan Boles and wife Cynthia and Travis Johnson and wife Vickie, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Judy A. Woods will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 13, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff and Rev. Jacob Guinn officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, or at the residence at any time. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home at 12:15 p.m. Friday to go in procession. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
