Heather Anne Buckles, 42, Elizabethton passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019, in the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness. Born April 8, 1977, in Dunoon, Scotland where her father was stationed in service. She was a 1995 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a graduate of Herman Robinson Vocational Technical School. Heather was employed in the Orthopedic Department at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. She was a member of the Hunter First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father: William J. Timbs.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years: Stephen Scott Buckles. A daughter: Celeste Gabrielle Buckles. Her mother & step-father: Rosemary & Tonie Hartley. Her brother: William Scott Timbs, Elizabethton. Her aunts & uncles: Linda Jones, Jim Timbs, Gary Timbs, Louise Timbs, Glenda Buckles, Pat Campbell, David Pierce & wife Sandra and their children: Alecia, Michael & grandson: Austin. Several cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jamie Ferguson and Pastor Rusty Verran officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Nursing Staff at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, and Officers of North East Correctional Complex. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Members of the Carter County Rescue Squad and Members of the Carter County Sheriff Department.
