Milligan Free Will

Milligan Free Will Baptist Church, 1471 Milligan Highway, will have Vacation Bible School June 17-21 with classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The theme of the Bible school is “Roar: Life is Wild; God Is Good.”

New Liberty

The Rev. Ray Colbaugh, Pastor Emeritus, will preach at the morning and evening worship services Sunday at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. Services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The pastor, the Rev. Nick Colbaugh, invites everyone to attend the services in support of the long pastor, who recently retired.

New Liberty is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

First Christian

Minister Michael Klaus will preach at the morning service Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. The service will begin at 9:45 a.m.

The evening service begins at 6 p.m., as will the Wednesday evening Bible study.

Fridays, food clients who have appointments for that day will pick up boxes. Call the church if you would like to make an appointment and check eligibility for a food box.

Zion Baptist

Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will have Vacation Bible School June 17-20. Classes will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 8:45 p.m.

The theme for the Bible School is “Roar.”

Vacation Bible School commencement and a fun night with inflatables will be held June 21, beginning at 6 p.m.

Holly Springs

Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 16-20. Classes will be from 6:30 to 8:30 each evening.

The theme of the Bible school is “Farm Fresh Faith.”

Cove Creek

The Principles will present special singing Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at Cove Creek Community Church, Roan Mountain.

Sinking Creek

Vacation Bible School will be held at Sinking Creek Baptist Church June 23-30 with classes each evening from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m.

“In the World” is the theme of the Bible School, which will feature kids classes as well as an adult school.

Caldwell Springs

Caldwell Springs Baptist Church will move their Wednesday night prayer service to Tuesday during the summer months. There will be a meal, beginning at 6 p.m.

Prayer meeting will be in the fellowship hall at 6:30 p.m. There will be classes for children and teens at 6:30 p.m. in the church downstairs.

Celebrate Recovery will meet in the church at 6:30 p.m.

Everyone is invited.

Unaka Baptist

An All You Can Eat Fish Fry will be held at Unaka Baptist Church this evening from 5 to 7 p.m.

The menu will include fish, coleslaw, baked potatoes, hushpuppies, and chicken tenders, for those who don’t eat fish.
