Doris Jean Lewis Bullock

Doris Jean Lewis Bullock, 62, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Hermitage Health Care after a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Ressie Carden Lewis.
Doris was a graduate of Hampton High School, Herman Robinson Vocational Technical School and Walters State Community College. She was a Registered Nurse. Prior to her illness she was an employee of Hermitage Health Center. She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Keith Bullock, June 16, 2008, and a brother, Ricky Lynn “Hoppy” Lewis.
Survivors include her brothers, Roger and wife Betty Lewis, Carl Lewis, J.D. and wife Nokie Lewis, Leslie and wife Cindy Lewis and Steve and wife Maxine Lewis; several nieces and nephews including a special great-niece, Mandy; a special great-nephew, Kyler; and her special aunt, Della Mae Johnson.
A graveside service for Doris Jean Lewis Bullock will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, in the Johnson Cemetery (Oscar Johnson Road) with Pastor Norman Markland and Pastor Danny Osborne officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Justin, Kyler, David, Kevin, Danny, Johnny and Cody Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Lambert, Randy Marlow, Eldon White, George Papantoniou, Don Banner, Lanny Peters, Richard Lacey, Chris Schuler and Stan Johnson. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hermitage Health Center, the staff of Amedisys Hospice, her special friends, Paula, Margaret Blevins and family, and her many friends who have prayed for her and offered assistance.
