Neil Miller, 40, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Neil was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and a former employee of Tri-Cities Nissan. He was a member of Gap Creek Christian Churc.
Neil enjoyed dedicating his free time to the Central Volunteer Fire Department, where he was the former Fire Chief, and to the West Carter County Fire Department, where he was a current member.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father and mother, Larry Ray Miller and Rose Marie Lyons Miller; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and several friends at the Central Volunteer Fire Department and the West Carter County Fire Department.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Miller will be held Monday, July 15, at 7 p.m. at the Central Community Christian Church outdoor pavilion with Ken Overdorf, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends Monday at the outdoor pavilion from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the memorial service. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to West Carter County Volunteer Fire Department in his name, 1420 Milligan Highway, Johnson City, TN 37601.
