Margaret Ledford Hamm

Margaret Ledford Hamm, 90, of East Brainerd, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 17, 2019, surrounded by her family.
A resident of Chattanooga since 1953, Mrs. Hamm retired from Sears (Downtown and Hamilton Place) after 38 years of service. After retirement, she managed the Hamilton Car Wash for 14 years.
Mrs. Hamm was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and the Haskell Sunday School Class for over 50 years. At the time of her death she was a member of Stanley Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Norris G. Hamm; parents, Ransom and Esther Sparks Ledford; a sister, Helen Richardson; and two brothers, Harlan Ledford and Ransom Ledford Jr.
Survivors are her son, Jerry (Denise) Hamm, her daughter, Debra (Ron) Freeman, four grandchildren, Krisi (Danny) Johnson, Amy (Michael) Cabe, Josh (Jennifer) Hill and Ashley (Nick) Macco, all of Chattanooga; two nieces, Carol (Ralph) Bowers, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Lori (Bob) Hill, Boone, N.C.; a nephew, Gary (Jackie) Ledford, Lincolnton, N.C.; and two brothers-in-law, Roger and Earnest Hamm, both of Elizabethton.
Graveside services for Margaret Ledford Hamm will be held Monday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Ken Hartley officiating.
