Bobby Lynn Baker Matherly, 69, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Hermitage Health Care.
Bobby was born October 19, 1949 in Elizabethton. She was a homemaker and attended East Side Christian Church.
Bobby loved to play cards, bingo and watch wrestling on television.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Baker of Panama City, Fla.; her husband, Bobby Glenn Matherly; and her brother, John Baker of Panama City, Fla.
Survivors include her sons, Roger (Nancy) Matherly and Bill (Stephanie) Matherly, all of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Brittny, Corey, Deven, Axel Matherly, Summer Shelton, John Osborne and Hannah Henderson; her great-grandchildren, Aubree Nelson and Olivia Teague; her mother, Ruth Baker, Panama City, Fla.; her brother, Mark (Summer) Baker, Naples, Fla.; and her nieces and nephews, Gary, Lauren, Hunter and Savannah Baker. Also included, Cathy Miller, Martha Buck, Lisa and Alesha Humphrey, all of Elizabethton.
Funeral services for Bobby Lynn Baker Matherly will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. John H. Smith, minister, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 1, in the Emmert Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, will be Lance Dugger, Brian Kress, Corey Matherly, Dennis Henegar, Deven Matherly, Dustin Johnson and David Johnson. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hillview and Hermitage Health Care and the staff of Caris Health Care. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.
