Friday Night Lights 5K Run/3K Walk… McDaniel takes win in Friday road race at T.A. Dugger

An overcast sky welcomed runners Friday night to the 2019 Friday Night Lights 5K Run/Walk that began and ended at T.A. Dugger Jr. High.
When the dust settled and the final competitor crossed the finished line, it was Dave McDaniel who stood as the overall champion having led the race from the completion of the first portion of the race all the way to the finishing tape.
McDaniel completed the course in 17:11.
On the women’s side, Jacquelyn Crow came across the line first for the ladies in a time of 18:39 as Crow stayed close to McDaniel throughout the entire race.
Porter Dillow, a 12-year old runner, lead the runners in his age group finishing the 5K run in 24:21. Gib Maupin, 13-years old, finished in second with a time of 26:02.
On the girl’s side, 13-year-old Lindy Simerly clocked in at 26:52 with Jillian Perkins, 12-years old, finishing second with a 27:34.
