On the pitch…Lady Cyclones get first kicks in against Volunteer

The soccer season for the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones got underway on Tuesday at Citizens Bank Stadium as the Lady Cyclones played host to the Volunteer Lady Falcons on a scorching afternoon.
With the game not being an official contest, it was easy to tell that it was the first time either had seen any action as both teams were tight in the opening minutes of play before the Lady Cyclones started to play their passing lanes and began an impressive onslaught on the Lady Falcon goal.
With the officials keeping a close eye on the players, there was a water break scheduled every 20 minutes to make sure to keep the players hydrated.
After the Lady Cyclones finally got their feet under them and began attacking, the first ball to hit the back of the net came at the 25:00 mark of the first half off the foot of Lexie Brown.
The Lady Cyclones will have their second scrimmage of the season tonight at 6:30 pm as they play host to the Boone Lady Trailblazers.
