Family Reunions

The Annual Trivett Family Reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Valley Forge Freewill Baptist Church picnic area, located on Riverview Drive, next to the river.
The reunion begins at noon and lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Family and friends are invited and asked to bring covered dishes, drinks and desserts to share. Table covers, plates, napkins and eating utensils will be provided.
Please come join relatives and friends for lunch, fun and games.

The annual reunion of the late James Madison and Ann Bailey Byrd will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11, beginning at 1 p.m. at Lower Brummitt’s Creek Church of the Brethren on NC 197 near Relief in Mitchell County, N.C.
Those planning to attend are asked to bring food for a picnic lunch.
A decoration will follow at the cemetery near where the ancestors lived.

The John and Bertha Presnell Family Reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at noon at Prayer Tabernacle Church, 105 Phillip St., Elizabethton. Everyone invited.

The Poga – Flat Springs Community Reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at The Beech Mountain Community Center, 60 Flat Springs Road, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Everyone with connections to this community is invited.
There will be music by local bands in the gym and a craft sale. Lunch will be from 12-1 p.m. in the cafeteria. Bring food and memories to share. For more information, call 542-0203 or 768-2261.

The descendants of Ruby and Addie Birchfield Gouge and Emmert and Bettie Gouge Collins will have their annual reunion on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Little Doe Freewill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.

The Second Annual Reunion of the Dayton Campbell Family will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Unaka Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1595 Hwy. 91, Elizabethton, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Please bring finger foods and family tree history and memorabilia. Drinks and all paper items will be provided.
Also bring cornhole games, badminton set, basketball, and any outdoor activities.
