Back with a vengeance… Lady Cyclones make quick regroup to take down Lady Longhorns 3-1

One day removed from losing a tough match to Boone and playing what was scheduled to be an away match at home, the Elizabethton Lady Cyclone volleyball team fought back to take the decisive final two games against Johnson County in Three Rivers Conference play Tuesday at A.L. Treadway Gym 25-17, 22-25, 25-15, and 25-16.
The win evened Elizabethton’s regular-season record at 1-1.
 
Morgan Smith had a big night for the Lady Cyclones with 10 kills while recording nine serving aces out of 23 attempts. She also added 21 defensive digs. Whitley Maupin added eight kills while six each were recorded by Maddie Davis and Hannah Boster.
Brittany Kitchens recorded seven serving aces on 18 attempts and also came up with 11 defensive digs. Deanna Hull also played a solid game defensive recording double-digit digs with 20.
Elizabethton has another big match on the road at Sullivan East tonight going against the always strong Lady Patriots.
