JOHNSON CITY — “Greg Pond: From Static to Oscillatory (and Back Again)” is on display at East Tennessee State University’s Slocumb Galleries through Sept. 26.

Sewanee-based artist Greg Pond says he “employs technology, sound and mixed media in his sculptural installations that encapsulates ‘history and cultures, altering the pace of time and distorting physical scale’ to visualize psychological landscape realism.”

Pond is a professor of art at the University of the South in Sewanee, where he teaches upper division courses in sculpture, intermedia and film/video production. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of the South and an M.F.A. from the University of Georgia.
