Ed Jordan, founder and Chairman of Keep Carter County Beautiful (KCCB), has for several years worked to rid Carter County of litter, promote recycling, and spruce up the community with beautification projects with the help of many volunteers, businesses, and the support of Elizabethton City and Carter County government officials and school systems.
His efforts have not gone unnoticed. Jordan was awarded the Martin L. Kennedy Award for Outstanding TN Keep America Beautiful Affiliate Coordinator at the 2019 TDOT/Keep Tennessee Beautiful (KTnB) Biennial Conference and Awards of Excellence Luncheon. The luncheon was held Sept. 19 at the Nashville Airport Marriott, which Jordan attended.
With the honor, Jordan will receive a $1,500 grant to further promote KCCB’s cause.
