Wilma A. Snyder

Wilma A. Snyder, 89, of Johnson City, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 1, 2019, from the Waters of Johnson City. Ms. Snyder was born in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late Eugene and Laura Lewis Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Williams and Billy Williams, and four sisters, Anna Lee Stout, Pauline Proffitt, Stella Campbell and Beulah Williams.
Ms. Snyder had worked as a certified nursing assistant and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cross stitching and doing art.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kay Meade and husband Mike of Johnson City, Carol Shull of Johnson City and Rod Snyder and wife Mary Ann of Piney Flats; her grandchildren, Matt Marshall, Brooke Armistead (Ben Spearman), and Brent Shull; and her great-grandchildren, Campbell Marshall and Haydn Spearman.
A private service will be conducted at the Mausoleum of Hope at Happy Valley Memorial Park. The family would like to especially thank Amedysis Hospice and the caregivers at the Waters of Johnson City for the loving care shown to Ms. Snyder during her illness.
