Haas Racing Scholarships Awarded

Six students in the CNC Machinist Training Program at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton have received Gene Haas Foundation scholarships, totaling $7,500, based on academic achievements and serving others in the community. The recipients, pictured from left, are Timber Shaw of Carter County,, Tyler Hensley and Jacob Haun of Washington County, Danielle Jones of Unicoi County, and Michael Mann and Darren Foster of Sullivan County. Instructor Jeffrey Powell is also pictured. The average length of the program is 16 months to become a Machinist I. Classes meet from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
