CCCMF Meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet at Big Springs Church of Christ, 1106 Gap Creek Road, Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The service will feature worship by Don Brandon and preaching by Richard Thomason, minister at the Blue Springs Christian Church.
Following the service, there will be a time of fellowship with refreshments.
Glen Layfield is minister of the host church.

Poplar Grove
Forgiven, a bluegrass gospel group, will present special music Sunday at the 7 p.m. worship service at Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
The church is located on Highway 91, Stoney Creek.
The Rev. Eric Wright, pastor, invites the public to attend.
CC Parish Revival
The Carter County Parish of the United Methodist Church will host a revival Oct. 20-23 at T.A. Dugger Junior High School.
Guest speaker for the Sunday service will be David Whaley, music minister at Hunter First Baptist Church. The service will begin at 6 p.m.
Services Monday through Wednesday will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature the Rev. Ray Amos, pastor of First United Methodist Church, as guest speaker.
Music will be featured at each service and will include David Whaley, Sunday; JoAnn Boizt, Alice Miller and Spencer Blevins, Monday; First United Methodist Church Choir, Tuesday; and Lifted (Retta Faye, Tony Rominger, Fred Goodwin and Rusty Melton) on Wednesday.
The Carter County Parish includes Hunter United Methodist, St. Paul United Methodist, Slagle’s United Methodist, and Watauga Point United Methodist.
The public is invited.
Hampton Christian
Hampton Christian Church, 810 Deerfield Lane, Hampton, will have its annual fall festival Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Featured will be homemade cakes, pies, breads, and candies, canned goods, fall and Christmas crafts, and Rada products.
Food items will include hotdogs, chips, nachos and cheese, and drinks.
The public is invited to attend and bring their children for fun and games.
Hampton Christian is located across from Hampton High School baseball field.
Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood of Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy the food and fellowship.
Big Springs
Big Springs Church of Christ, Gap Creek Road, will have homecoming Sunday. The church will celebrate its 137th anniversary.
Following the service, lunch will be served.
The minister, Glen Layfield, invites the public to attend.
First United Methodist
“At the Feet of Jesus We Are Whole” based on Luke 17: 11-19 is the title of Sunday’s sermon at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. Morning worships begins at 9:55 a.m.
Sunday School is at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. followed by the Senior High Ministries from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m.. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Wednesday evening Life Lessons will be held at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

First Presbyterian
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will preach Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon is titled “God of the Rainbow,” and is based on Gen. 19: 1-13 and Rom. 1: 26-27.
The service will begin at 11 a.m. An Education Hour is at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include: Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursdays with Jesus from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday; Exercise Class from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and yoga, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
