Margaret “Louise” Bowling Taylor

Margaret “Louise” Bowling Taylor, 78, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the Waters of Roan Highlands. Louise was born in Roan Mountain, Tenn., on August 17, 1941 to the late Robert L. Bowling and Lena Bowling Markland. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Taylor, in 1997, and two sisters, Bonnie Arnett and Lillie Markland.
Louise was a member of New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Revonda Mills and husband Charlie, Beverly Taylor and husband Herman and Brian Taylor and wife Rita; five grandchildren, Shanda Sargent and husband Steve, Stephanie Koehler and husband Kody, Chelsea Lyttle and husband Daniel, Brandon Taylor and wife Miranda and Christopher Taylor; six great-grandchildren, Ava and Ellie Sargent, Lincoln Koehler, Kinsley and Hayden Lyttle and Raelynn Taylor; sister, Frances Stout; and brothers, Bud Bowling, Butler Markland and Clay Markland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 20, in the Blevins Cemetery in the Stoney Creek Community of Elizabethton with Reverend Dennis Wilson officiating. Active pallbearers will be Steve Sargent, Kody Koehler, Daniel Lyttle, Christopher Taylor, Brandon Taylor and Zack Taylor. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 1:15 p.m. Sunday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, October 19, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, or at the home of Revonda at other times.
