Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center for the week of October 21-25:

Membership Dues: $15 per year for 60 and older; $30 per year for 55-59. Come and join us and receive a monthly newsletter, have lunch, and enjoy the many activities and programs we provide every day and our fully-equipped fitness room.

Monday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Lunch —  Stuffed Pepper Casserole, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Making apple butter. We’ll start early and need volunteers to help stir all day. Lunch and snacks will be provided for volunteers; Eat Well, Feel Well, 10 a.m. Part 4 of 5 classes offered by Lacie Young with the UT Extension Office. Learn about food and nutrition, share recipes and experiences, and participate in hands-on activities. Free kitchen items at each class including a canvas bag; Lunch — Chili Dog, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing — Beginners’ Class, 12-1 p.m.; Line Dancing — Advanced Class, 1-2:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Lunch — Baked Ham, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Thursday: Dancercize, 9:30-10:30 a.m.; Lunch — Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti, 11 a.m.

Friday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; October Birthdays Bingo, 10 a.m. If you have a birthday in October, come and celebrate! Prizes and birthday cake for everyone. Refreshments provided by Silver Angels and Woman’s Civic Club; Lunch — Baked Chicken Tenders, 11 a.m.

COMING UP: Wednesday, Oct. 30. Medicare open-enrollment with SHIP, 9-11 a.m. Medicare Counselors will be on hand at the Senior Center to assist with plan comparisons and answer questions. Call (423) 722-5205 to schedule an appointment. Take the time to see if your plan still works for you.
