It has taken a little longer this year due to the heat and drought-like conditions for the change in the foliage to take place but if one hasn’t noticed that change is now in full motion and with the forecast calling for long-needed rain and the cooler temperatures brought on by winds from the north.
That will result in the colors being short-lived as the trees will soon be bear as the winter season comes barreling through.
There are many different ways to enjoy these colors whether it is by automobile, boats, or even an airplane flyover looking down on the beautiful different colors that dot the landscape like a giant cup of Dippin’ Dots.
Whether one may like orange, red, yellow, gold, burnt orange, or a combination of all the aforementioned, this is the time of year to take time out from one’s busy schedule and enjoy the day taking in what grandparents and great-grandparents often referred to as God’s grand painting.
It’s no wonder folks love living and visiting our area during this time of year with all the majestic changes in the beautiful mountains and ridges that surround our little corner of the world.
