Louise Honeycutt Puckett

Louise Honeycutt Puckett, 90, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late David and Grace Rhea Honeycutt.
Louise was retired from the Carter County School System as a lunchroom manager at Hunter Elementary School for 34 years. Prior to her illness she was an active member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Puckett; a daughter, Glenda Taylor; a son, Bill Puckett; a granddaughter, Michelle Taylor; and a sister, Mary Sue Kerrs.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Shane Taylor, Adam Taylor and Jennifer Persinger; her great-grandchildren, Dustin Taylor, Logan Taylor, Jordan Persinger, Bailea Persinger, Austin Taylor and Jacob Taylor; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Puckett; one great-great-granddaughter, Sydney Taylor; a sister, Linda Lou Greene; and her special sisters, Wilma Hayes and Billie Jo Hayase.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Dennis Wilson and the Rev. Doug Hinshaw officiating. Music will be provided by Frank Eads. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, will be Adam Taylor, Shane Taylor, Dustin Taylor, Logan Taylor, Austin Taylor, Jordan Persinger, Bailea Persinger, Jacob Taylor, Derrick Woodward and Chris Persinger. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Freida Carrier and the staff of Signature Health for the excellent care she received. Friends may also call at the residence of a grandson, Adam Taylor. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
