A Walk in Their Boots Breakfast planned Nov. 9 at Tipton-Haynes

Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site, Johnson City, will host an All You Can Eat Breakfast Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8 until 10 a.m. This breakfast will coincide with the reenactments and Veterans Day activities of A Walk in Their Boots event on site.

This event is intended to educate the public on the alterations of the American military from the Revolutionary War to modern day and to honor all the men and women who have served our country. There will be reenactments of WWI and Vietnam throughout the day and plenty of food for breakfast.

Breakfast will consist of biscuits, eggs, sausage, gravy, and grits.

Admission for the event is free for the public to come out and enjoy A Walk in Their Boots. For the breakfast, there is a $7 charge for adults and $4 for children 12 and under, age three and under are free. Donations are welcomed and will go to help the site continue its mission values. Fresh, made on site apple butter will also be for sale  for $8 per pint and $4 per half pint.

Tipton-Haynes is located in South Johnson City at 2620 South Roan St.
