New Liberty
New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church will recognize all military veterans Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service. The New Liberty Revival Choir and Ms. Laura Coleman will honor the veterans with various patriotic and military branch musical selections.
Following the service, lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall for all veterans, the church family and visitors.
There will be no evening service.
The pastor, the Rev. Nick Colbaugh, invites everyone to attend.
New Liberty is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
Union Baptist
Veterans will be honored Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at Union Baptist Church, Highway 321, Hampton.
A video will be shown of Union Baptist veterans and attendees from all U.S. conflicts. The video was produced by Carolyn James and Mary Ruth Parrish.
The public is invited to attend.

Freedom Road Baptist
J.J. Cox, the painting preacher, will present the message Sunday at 11 a.m. at Freedom Road Baptist Church, 708 W. C St.
The congregation will also observe Bring A Friend to Church Sunday.
The pastor, Steve Wilson, invites the public to attend.
Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon, and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7.
Also, there will be a country store with crafts and baked goods. Come eat and shop as well as enjoy the food and fellowship.

Hopwood Christian
Hopwood Christian Church, Milligan College, will have its annual Holiday Bazaar, Christmas Market, and Brisket Dinner Saturday, Nov. 16.
Crafts and baked goods will be on sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and a BBQ dinner will be served from 6 to 7 p.m.
“It will be a great time to shop for Christmas gifts and holiday treats,” a spokesman for the event said.
Oak Grove Baptist
The Hoppers along with Sacred Harmony Quartet and comedian Mickey Bell will be featured in concert Nov. 15 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Mount Carmel.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and music begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the door or at Music Doctors in Kingsport or at ltickets.com
Hampton First Baptist
The WMU of the Watauga Association of Baptist will sponsor a prayer service Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at Hampton First Baptist Church.
The group will be praying for the association, counseling ministry, Hale Community Ministries, the nation, state and local government, in addition to the youth and children of the local community. Also, prayer requests will be received.
Fellowship Community
Fellowship Community Church in Watauga will have a special day of praise and worship Sunday.
Pastor Tom Hauser, who has pastored for 39 years in Rochester, N.Y., will speak at the 11 a.m. service. A fellowship pot-luck dinner will be served at 5 p.m., and No Name But His will present special singing at 6 p.m.
The public is invited to each of the events.

Union Hill
The Daniel Minton Family will present special singing Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
The church is located at 125 Lane Hill Road in the Stoney Creek community.
Everyone is invited.
First Presbyterian
The pastor, Dr. Brian C. Wyatt, will preach Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His message is titled “Mission and Money” and is based on Luke 4: 16-21 and Matt. 11: 2-6. The service will begin at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and yoga from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday.

First United Methodist
“Soldiers of Christ, Arise and Put Your Armor On” based on Eph. 6: 10-20 is the theme for the Sunday morning message at First United Methodist Church, when all veterans will be honored.
The worship service begins at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m.
The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Also, Wednesday Evening Life Lessons will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the church fellowship hall.

Carter Christian
A holiday craft and bake sale will be held today and Saturday at Carter Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 1765 Highway 91.
Available will be beautiful handmade crafts, holiday gift ideas, and delicious homemade treats and canned goods.
The event is sponsored by the church’s Ladies Aide Ministry.
Hunter Memorial
Hunter Memorial Baptist Church will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Levi Fisher and family Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the church fellowship building.
The dinner includes all you can eat spaghetti, garlic bread, a drink and dessert for $8. Dine in or carry out.
All proceeds go to Levi and his family.
