First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will host a Contending for the Faith Conference Saturday.
The conference will consist of a weekend of encouragement, teaching and training for teachers and ministry leaders.
Guest speakers will be Mike Riddle and Dr. David Reagan. Riddle is founder and President of Creation Training Initiative, apologist and education specialist. An international speaker and teacher on biblical creation, apologetics and Christian education. He has been involved in creation apologetics for over 35 years.
Dr. Reagan is founder and director for Lamb & Lion Ministries. He is host of “Christ in Prophecy,” a worldwide television program. He is also editor of the Lamplighter magazine and an acclaimed author of many books and material on Bible prophecy.
Is the Bible still relevant in the society we live in today? Why are young people leaving our churches in record numbers? In the Bible, Jesus is called the Alpha and Omega (the Beginning and the End), yet the books of Genesis and Revelation (and Bible prophecy in general) are the most attacked and ignored books of the Bible. Come and spend a day with internationally known Bible experts as they focus on the importance of teaching foundational truth from the Genesis record and God’s prophetic Word in our increasingly post Christian culture.
You will be encouraged, challenged, and equipped with the tools you need to help you be a more effective leader and teacher of God’s Word as church leaders “Contend for the Faith.”
The conference begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and continues until 8 o’clock that evening.
