Extending times two… Little Milligan, Keenburg ladies go two overtimes in Lady Tiger win

Four quarters of action weren’t enough to decide the winner of the Keenburg and Little Milligan girls basketball contest played Monday evening at Keenburg Elementary.

In a double-overtime thriller, the Lady Tigers outlasted Little Milligan by a 25-23 score.

The game was a low-scoring contest in the first half as the Lady Tigers managed to take an 8-5 lead into the locker room at the intermission.

Coming out of the gates quickly in the third quarter, both teams finally found their offensive stride scoring 10 points each in the stanza as Keenburg clung to an 18-15 advantage heading into the final quarter.

Little Milligan pulled it together in the fourth period as the Lady Buffaloes outscored Keenburg 6-3 to force an extra session.

In the first overtime, the two teams battled evenly scoring only two points in the first overtime period forcing a second extra session.

Keenburg managed to record the only two points in the second overtime frame to take the narrow win.

Bambi Nance led Keenburg in scoring with 16 points while Tiffany Dugger added three points.

Ashiah Burgess 2, Haylee Bowers 2, and Skyler 2 closed out the scoring for Keenburg.

Trinity Cornett scored 11 points to lead Little Milligan while Kam Searcy added nine points for the Lady Buffaloes.

In boys action, Keenburg also took the win over Little Milligan.

Isaiah Linberg led the Tigers in scoring with 14 points while Noah Gill dropped in 10 points. Aiden Gross added six points.
