Unaka didn’t want it and Hunter could take it Thursday night in the Don Parkey Dome on Stoney Creek. The Baby Rangers shot 13 free throws in the fourth period making zero and only scored two points the entire quarter, but outscoring the Hunter Tigers 12-1 in the first was just too much to overcome.
Both teams were in foul trouble late in the game, Hunter would score 11-points in the final period but just missed too many shots to capture the lead.
Unaka led the game 17-9 at the break and would add to that by outscoring Hunter 12-7 in the third. The game would stall with 2:39 seconds with Unaka leading 31-27 and neither team could put any more points on the board.

Unaka coach Josh Deyton said, “It was a challenge but our defense and hustle helped us pull out the win tonight. All credit goes to my players they left everything they had out on the court.”

The Lady Tigers pulled out a ten-point win, 34-24, over the Lady Rangers.  Coach Pearson’s team held Unaka scoreless in the first 16-0 and would lead 21-8 at halftime.
