Culinary Workshop Dec. 5 at the Mountain Harvest Kitchen

UNICOI — The Mountain Harvest Kitchen (MHK) is hosting a culinary workshop with professional Chef Neal Smith on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. teaching the basics of chicken preparation starting from the whole bird.
If you’d like to ramp up your butchery skills, join us for this hands-on workshop and learn to break down, carve, and cook the perfect bird. All attendees will receive their own whole chicken and a selection of seasonal veggies to work with. Along the way, there will be tips and discussion of recommended cooking techniques and the class will prepare a meal together for all to enjoy.
Local Chef Neal Smith, Kitchen Manager at the Boone Street Market, is a wealth of culinary knowledge and gained his experience working in fine dining restaurants to casual tasting spaces across the nation. He is inspired by fresh and seasonal ingredients and is passionate about sharing and preserving the techniques of southern cuisine.
This class is fully hands-on and emphasizes building skill and confidence in the kitchen. All proceeds from the class go directly to support the Mountain Harvest Kitchen and Boone Street Market, 105 Unicoi Village Place, Unicoi. Registration is $40 and seats are limited.
