With a bleak forecast potentially for Saturday, December 14; The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department will host their annual Christmas at Covered Bridge Park on Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 5-7:30 PM.
This free, familyfriendly event will feature a Christmas Village set up throughout the park, free hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas themed games, letters to Santa station, crafts and activities and of course, Santa on the Stage (parents, bring your cameras, we will not have a photographer on hand)! Free inflatables will be available, followed by milk and cookies to enjoy while listening to Santa read a Christmas classic. Kids will receive a free book courtesy of the Elizabethton/Carter County Library Santa will stick around afterward to hear the Christmas wishes of the boys and girls.
On Saturday, December 21, 2019, a free glow in the dark dodgeball event will take place at the Recreation Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in their brightest neon or blacklight friendly attire. While the event is free, concessions will be sold to benefit the Carter County Drug Prevention Coalition.
