House Commerce Committee Chairman Timothy Hill (R-Blountville) recently joined with AT&T to present a $500 check to the Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department. The funds will be used to support the department’s operations and emergency response to calls in the communities of Hampton, Valley Forge, and other portions of Carter County. “The Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department provides lifesaving resources to our citizens, and Chief Issacs and his team do a great job serving our community,” said Chairman Hill. “I am proud to partner with AT&T to ensure this department has access to critical funding, and I remain committed to fighting for additional resources to support our volunteer firefighters in Northeast Tennessee. Fire Chief Chris Issacs said the funding will help cover the cost of a local grant match to assist with the purchase of new equipment, which will allow the department to modernize its services and better address evolving needs within the community.
