Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center for the week of January 6-10:

Membership Dues: $15 per year for 60 and older; $30 per year for 55-59. Come and join us and receive a monthly newsletter, have lunch, and enjoy the many activities and programs we provide every day and our fully-equipped fitness room.

Monday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; My Plate, with Lacie Young, Carter County Extension Leader, 10 a.m. Join us for four quick, fun classes, 30 minutes each. Learn how to plan, shop and cook healthy, low-cost meals, quick tips and tricks to save money and cook well, plus tasty food sampling and free kitchen tools for you to take home; Lunch — Oven Fried Chicken Breast, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Lunch — Meatballs/Gravy, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing — Beginners’ Class Line Dancing, 12-1 p.m.; Advanced Line Dancing, 1-2:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; TEACH, 10 a.m. — Home-schooled students will be here to show you how to use a Smartphone. Helpful information if you own one or think about purchasing one; Lunch — Egg/Sausage Patty, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Thursday: Dancercise, 9:30-10:30 a.m.; Lunch — Soup Beans/Cornbread, 11 a.m.; Oil Painting, noon-4 p.m. — Bob Ross Method with Instructor, Jay Holdway. Instruction and supplies to complete a picture in one afternoon at a cost of $50.

Friday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Let’s Play Bingo, 10 a.m. No Charge. Just for fun; Lunch — Chicken Pot Pie, 11 a.m.

HOMEMADE APPLE BUTTER for sale! $12/quart; $6/pint. Stock up. When it’s gone there won’t be anymore until next fall.
