Patti Fleenor

Patricia Weikel Fleenor, 60, of Kingsport, died Monday morning, January 6, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Elizabethton, she graduated from Elizabethton High School and ETSU. Patti had been a teacher at Andrew Johnson Elementary School for many years. She attended Celebration Church.
Patti loved her family, trips to the beach and the Biltmore, and her Johnson Elementary family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Preston Weikel and Charlotte Louise Weikel, and father-in-law, Hershiel Fleenor.
Patti is survived by her husband, Jerry Fleenor, of the home; three daughters, Nancy Weaver and husband, Todd, Maggie Booher and husband, Sam, and Rachel Fleenor, all of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Andrew and Adelyn Weaver, and Elizabeth and Henry Booher; sister, Sandra Weikel Miller of Tryon, N.C.; mother-in-law, Irene Fleenor of Elizabethton; niece, Sarah Bailey and husband Chris, and their children, Thomas and Connor Mahon; and nephew, Andrew Preston Miller.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 10, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Fleenor officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Andrew Johnson Elementary, PTO-Playground Fund in memory of Patti Fleenor, or to Speedway Children’s Charities, speedwaycharities.org.
