Happy Valley Hall of Fame set to enshrine Class of 2020

It will be an exciting evening on Warrior Hill Saturday evening January 11th as a new sports Hall of Fame class will be enshrined for 2020.
 
There will be 10 individuals along with the 1989 Girls State Basketball runner-up team inducted.
 
The 10 individuals include five-sports star Donnie Peters, All-State football player Tommy Sams, basketball player Cheri McNeil Mashburn, Doug Verble (deceased) for basketball, Jay Kyte for basketball and track, three sports star Todd Caldwell, Kate Powell for track and softball and contributors Richard Edens, Richard Sutphin, and Charles Dykes.
 
Also to be recognized will be football coaching legend J.C. Campbell from Hampton who will be honored as the “Honored Enemy War Chief”. Previous winners included Hampton’s Jerry White, Science Hill’s Elvin Little, and Daniel Boone’s Bobby Snyder.
 
The Hall of Fame inductees will meet in the cafeteria at 6 pm for refreshments and to visit with family and fellow inductees. Happy Valley and Hampton will also be playing at 8 pm in a county rival basketball game.
 
Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy a great evening.
