Elizabethton City Council recognizes Cyclones with proclamation

- Star Photo/Ivan Sanders The Elizabethton High School football team were recognized by the Elizabethton City Council for their 2019 Blue Cross Class 4A State Championship on Thursday evening.
It was a special night at the regularly scheduled Elizabethton City Council meeting as Mayor Curt Alexander and the rest of the Council recognized the Elizabethton High School football team and presented a proclamation that Wednesday, January 15th will be Elizabethton Cyclone Football Team Day.
Alexander went on to congratulate the team for their hard work and accomplishments as well as the coaching staff. He also praised head coach Shawn Witten for being named the Tennessee Titan Coach of the Year.
