‘Daughter of the Struggle’ to be performed in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

JOHNSON CITY — Ayanna Gregory will perform her one-woman show, “Daughter of the Struggle,” in a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at East Tennessee State University on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. in the Millennium Center ballroom.

Gregory, a soul singer, songwriter, educator and activist, is the daughter of civil rights activist and comedian Dick Gregory. In her show, she dramatizes the universal impact of King and his partner in the struggle for civil rights.
