Officials respond to fire at Garrison Hollow Road

Star Photo/Amber Wadovick Officials responded to a fire on Garrison Hollow Road in Valley Forge early Friday morning. The home is a total loss accoridng to the fire department.
Smoke flowed out of a mobile home on Garrison Hollow Road in Carter County at around 8 a.m. Friday, with the Hampton Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Department and Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department soon arriving on the scene.
Officials reported one individual was at the home, but no serious injuries were reported. According to Facebook posts by the Hampton Valley Forge Fire Department, while there were no injuries, the public was advised to steer clear of the area as they worked.
“The wind was crazy out there, everything fell into place perfect […] we had a really quick response and everyone involved did an excellent job,” they said.
