MADISONVILLE (AP) — Three people have been charged with stealing $30,000 from a youth clay target shooting program in Tennessee, authorities said.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents began investigating theft of money from the 4-H Scholastic Clay Target Program in Monroe County in December 2015, the state police agency said in a news release Wednesday.

During the investigation, agents found that Mary Ellen Sellin, Timothy Scott Sellin, and Tony Aram Millsaps stole about $30,000 from the program over several years, the TBI said.

Mary Ellen Sellin handled funds for the organization, while Timothy Sellin and Millsaps served as coaches for the program, the TBI said.

All three turned themselves in to authorities on the theft charges this week. They have been released on bond. It was not immediately clear if they had lawyers to speak on their behalf about the charges.

The Scholastic Clay Target Program is sponsored by the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation. The program supports students from elementary, high school and college who take part in trap, skeet and sporting clay shooting.
