God: Past, present and future, He has blessed

To the Editor:
We are seeing the degenerative character of America. If this culture continues we can hardly expect God’s blessings. The American founders insisted on the principles of God and of the Bible rather than setting themselves up as an authority for controlling the lives of people. Because the founders submitted to God’s control of people’s lives, God has blessed this nation as no other has ever been blessed.
The Psalmist wrote: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” George Washington set the standard for the nation when he said, “It’s impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.”
Obama began his presidency by promoting other religions. He began his unconstitutional policies. Christian soldiers and chaplains risked court martial if they shared their faith or quoted the Bible. Many of our leaders today have followed this practice. However, there comes a time that God says enough. He sent President Donald Trump. However, Satan didn’t give up. It’s beyond our thinking of the persecution the president and his family have gone through, yet he has stood for religious freedom. He became the first president to have meetings with the United Nations for worldwide religious freedom. This set off a firestorm from the media. We have never witnessed such hatred. The drive to impeach the president is tearing our country apart.
We could make a list of all the accomplishments he has done. We would have to say God did it. The principles of the United States are founded on our rights that do not come from government, but from God. Let us pray for the president and all people, and don’t forget to vote.
