Amy Michelle Palmer, 42, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to Heaven, where she was embraced in the loving arms of Jesus and walked through Heaven’s gates, healed of all life’s struggles on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, from Johnson City Medical Center. Amy was born in Carter County, Tenn., to Sam K. Carr and Melinda Diane Glover Carr of Elizabethton. Amy was preceded in death by her maternal Mamaw and Papaw, Helen and Aaron Glover, and her paternal Mamaw and Papaw, Kate and Vernon Carr, and several aunts and uncles.
Amy was a sweet and loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She would go out of her way to help anyone and touched so many with her tender heart. She was a librarian for the City of Elizabethton for 20 years and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Amy had a shop on ETSY — Tulips-N-Daises — and in her spare time she enjoyed reading, crafting, spending time with her cattle dog, Jack, loving on her nieces and nephews and spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish and remember her include her husband of 9-1/2 years, Timothy Dean Palmer, of the home; her parents, Sam K. and Melinda Diane Glover Carr of Elizabethton; her sister, Jeanne Carr; her nieces, Aaron Michelle Isaacs and Ansley Grayce Carr; and her nephews, Bryson Smith, Carter Smith and Colton Smith. Several special cousins and many friends also survive.
